Mike Salta
Mike Salta is a Danish DJ, broadcaster, producer, composer, musician, and remixer with more than 35 years of experience. His musical journey began in the late ’70s, evolving alongside electronic music and spanning everything from disco, funk, soul, and italo disco to house, techno, and Balearic sounds.
Known for his eclectic and soulful style, Mike blends reggae, Brazilian grooves, Japanese city pop, African rhythms, film scores, and leftfield classics into timeless sets that create atmosphere rather than follow trends.
His career has taken him around the world, with Ibiza holding a special place in his heart. From Café del Mar and Hostal La Torre to Pikes, Kumharas, Sa Trinxa, and The Standard, his music has become part of the island’s Balearic spirit.
Mike has released music on respected labels including NuNorthern Soul, Music For Dreams, Claremont 56, Armada, Café del Mar, Late Night Tales, and Sony Music. His track “Hey Moloko” was featured in Gran Turismo 7, marking a career highlight.
Whether DJing, producing, or remixing artists such as Blank & Jones, José Padilla, Moby, and Hot Chip, Mike’s philosophy remains the same: Balearic is freedom—creating warm, soulful, and timeless soundtracks for every moment.
