saidnooneever

saidnooneever is a Danish electronica-duo based in the heart of Aarhus, DK consisting of Daniel Skov and Andreas Pilgaard. Previously the two have worked together both as songwriters and musicians in other contexts, but have more recently been focusing on their own collaboration and lifelong fascination with instrumental music. The result is an album which aims particularly towards the more patient listener and one who appreciates discovering the kind of stories that only albums can tell. In a day and age where superficial and attention-demanding algorithms fights for every second of our time saidnooneever tries to move in an opposite direction.

In an old slaughterhouse from the 19th-century, turned into music studios, their debut album Transpire has emerged among homeless people and corporate buildings. The songs have been shaped by the duo’s deepfelt love for inconsistent, dusty analog hardware and lush digital effects that despite their objective differences become an image of how great things can transpire even from contrasts. Throughout its entirety of eight songs the album seeks to encourage the listener to discover the progression and details of the compositions rather than offering continuous releases and peaks. The album is put together in what feels like three acts, which not only underlines the duo’s wide musical range, but also shows that the most beautiful moments sometimes exist within longer parts and that those moments also live in the relationship between compositions.

With inspirations from electronic pioneers like Jon Hopkins, the noir-electronic, fellow Dane Trentemøller and Rival Consoles, saidnooneever fits right in. And despite their self-proclaimed introverted personalities the duos debut album leaves you with another impression. Transpire is composed and produced by saidnooneever, and mixed by the Danish artist Rangleklods.
